Karleen Schonger started her career in promoting health and wellness back in 2000, but her passion to learn how to develop healthy lifestyle habits that increase the quality of life and longevity began much earlier. Karleen has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Oregon, received her Health Coach training through Wellcoaches School of Coaching, attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, is an ACE Personal Trainer, and a 500-hour Yoga Therapist.
Karleen feels Vera’s philosophy of promoting a healthy lifestyle allows her the opportunity to live out her passion of sharing, connecting, and make a difference in the lives of individuals and the community. This passion for helping others live a healthier life was also put into action when she was a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, West Africa working on the African Food Systems Initiative.
An avid hiker and traveler, Karleen loves to get out and explore. She also enjoys yoga, cooking, and exploring local cuisine and markets with friends and family.
