Nurse Practitioner

Sand Point

Katie has always been interested in health and wellness. She majored in environmental studies with a focus on global population and health, and joined the Peace Corps after college. While in the Peace Corps, Katie worked with a nurse in a small clinic in rural Jamaica, teaching health promotion and HIV/AIDS education classes. She loved the connections that she had with people when discussing their health.

It was through this experience that Katie realized she wanted to pursue a career in nursing. When she returned home, she attended Pacific Lutheran University and became a family practice ARNP.

In her free time, Katie likes to spend time with family, friends, her puppy, and do just about anything outdoors. She also enjoys hiking, camping, running, kayaking, yoga, and reading.
